Spicy Stir-fried Pork

Variations. Instead of pork belly, substitute steak such as a thin ribeye or flat iron. If using steak, you can fry the steak, then stir fry the rest of the ingredients in the same pan while the steak is cooling.

Ingredients

Serves 2

  • 1/4 cups of gochujang
  • 1 Tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp of sugar
  • 1 Tbsp of gochugaru (hot pepper flakes)
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp of toasted sesame oil
  • 5 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp of ginger (minced)
  • 1 onion (large)
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 tsp of toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 lb of pork belly (1/4 inch slabs)

Directions

1. In a large skillet on medium high, cook pork and onion for three minutes.

2. Make the sauce: In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, toasted sesame oil, sugar, gochugaru, black pepper, minced garlic, minced ginger, and minced green onion.

3. Lower heat to medium low and add the sauce. Cook for about 12 minutes, stirring often.
